Initial D Second Stage Vol. 2 is the second video release for Initial D Second Stage. It includes Acts 5 through 7 of the anime and was first released on VHS on June 7, 2000, and later on DVD on November 29, 2000.[1] The release features the battle between Takumi Fujiwara and Kyoichi Sudo, and the first half of the battle between Ryosuke Takahashi and Kyoichi Sudo.
The DVD release peaked at number seven on the Oricon DVD Chart with an estimated 8,672 units sold in its first week.[2] It remained on the charts for a total of 2 weeks, with total sales estimated at 11,596 units.[3][4] Meanwhile, the VHS release peaked at number seven on the Oricon Sell-Video Top 50 Charts with an estimated 1,174 units sold in its first week.[5] It remained on the charts for a total of 2 weeks, with total sales estimated at 1,761 units.[6]
