Initial D Second Stage Vol. 3 is the third video release for Initial D Second Stage. It includes Acts 8 through 10 of the anime and was first released on VHS on July 19, 2000, and later on DVD on December 13, 2000.[1] The release features the second half of the battle between Ryosuke Takahashi and Kyoichi Sudo, and the impromptu battle between Keisuke Takahashi and Wataru Akiyama.
The DVD release peaked at number ten on the Oricon DVD Chart with an estimated 5,895 units sold during its first and only week on the charts.[2][3] Meanwhile, the VHS release peaked at number eighteen on the Oricon Sell-Video Top 50 Charts with an estimated 1,256 units sold in its first week.[4] It remained on the charts for a total of 2 weeks, with total sales estimated at 1,840 units.[5]
