Initial D Vol. 1 is the first rental video release for Initial D First Stage. It includes the first 2 Acts of the anime and was first released on VHS on September 11, 1998, and later on DVD on September 27, 2000.[1] The release features the first battle of the series with the impromptu battle between Takumi Fujiwara and Keisuke Takahashi.
A bonus video titled S.E.B.presents Initial D Super Euro Battle was included in the release. It is an anime music video that features re-edited CG racing scenes from the anime, along with cut CG scenes set to the songs “Space Boy” by Dave Rodgers and “No One Sleep In Tokyo” by Edo Boys.
