Initial D Wiki

The battle between Keisuke Takahashi and Takeshi Nakazato is the twelfth battle of Initial D.

Prior to the Battle[]

The battle between the NightKids and RedSuns has begun. Keisuke agrees to face Nakazato. Both the teams know that they will be inferior if they lose, as both Keisuke and Nakazato had lost to Takumi before.

During the Battle[]

Keisuke manages to keep up with the fast R32. He notes that Nakazato's steering has got aggressive, which would have been fatal if they were battling downhill. Nakazato is surprised at Keisuke being able to keep up with him and increases his pace. At that time, it starts to rain. Keisuke states that the rain is frightening as one wrong move can cause a crash. Even so as the final corner approached, Keisuke gets side-by-side by Nakazato and takes the outside at a dangerously high speed. Keisuke manages to not crash at the corner by 'hooking' his wheel to the outer drain of the corner and ends up being just a couple inches ahead of Nakazato. The GT-R's speed is not enough to cover up the distance as the FD crosses the finish line just ahead of Nakazato.

After the Battle[]

Nakazato is angered and states that Keisuke won by pure luck, however Keisuke disagrees and argues that he won with his skill due to tyre management, to which Nakazato realizes the fact and agrees quietly.

Kenta who was with them realized Takumi had come to witness the battle and declared to battle with him downhill in the rain immediately, something which Ryosuke and the NightKids member agree to.
