The impromptu battle between Keisuke Takahashi and Wataru Akiyama is the twentieth battle of Initial D.

Prior to the Battle[]

Wataru challenged Keisuke to a battle but Keisuke declines since it would be against the RedSuns' policy to not race on their home course. Unable to accept his rejection he tries to show him off.

During the Battle[]

On seeing the Eight-Six behind him Keisuke flashes his headlights towards Kenta, implying that he will be doing a quick battle with Wataru. Kenta moves aside his car to let Keisuke pass him. As Wataru passes Kenta, he was shocked to notice that the Eight-Six was not behaving like any other ordinary Eight-Six, it sounded and moved too powerful, as if it was turbocharged. Keisuke too notices how the Eight-Six was behaving differently and has a tough time battling with Wataru, while Kenta struggles to keep up with them, but falls behind. The battle was cut short due to Tsukamoto having crashed his Nissan 180SX (replaced with a member of Thunder Fire in Second Stage) in the middle of the road, with the racers narrowly dodging his car, and both of their cars skidding to a halt.

After the Battle[]

All cars were undamaged and Wataru and Keisuke vowed to race each other again someday.
