"Now! Here we go! Ultimate technique: Transedent Ultra Superlative Braking!"
The S15 driver

The impromptu battles between Koichiro Iketani/Takumi Fujiwara and the Two Guys From Tokyo is the thirty-second battle of Initial D.

Prior to the Battle[]

Eight-Five Turbo Fourth Stage

Itsuki shows up in his modified AE85

Takumi visits the Esso Gas Station to visit the SpeedStars where Iketani and Kenji discuss about his victory over Tomoyuki Tachi of the Todo School. Takumi by this time had forgotten about that as he was defeated by someone in his own course the day before, destroying his self confidence. It was at this time an enthusiastic Itsuki shows his much awaited AE85 with a bolt-on turbocharger upgrade.

S15 passes SpeedStars

The S15 passes SpeedStars

Him and Takumi in his Eight-Five and Kenji and Iketani in his S13 go up to Akina to test it out, with Itsuki pulling powerslides in his car, which wasn't possible earlier. As they were going uphill, a car speeds up to them from behind. Takumi initially wonders if that was the same car which he lost to the day before. It was then revealed as an S15 Silvia as it overtakes them, which he realizes was not the same car. Itsuki is amazed by the S15 while Kenji mocks Iketani for being overtaken by that car easily.

Later at the top they discuss about the AE85's engine upgrade on how the turbo upgrade increased the car's hp from 80 to 150. Iketani asks Takumi on what his opinions were about the car, to which he responds in detail about how the dampers weren't working properly as this much power can make the car's underbody go stiff, and how it can go into some small drifts. Iketani, Kenji and Itsuki looks at Takumi in total awe as they realize his time with Project D has changed him totally in knowledge of cars. He realizes Takumi is right about the dampers. Takumi tries telling them that he's still new at all this, but then by this time, the S15 which had passed them earlier now returns back towards them.

Two guys from Tokyo meet Speedstars

The two guys from Tokyo meets Speedstars and talks with them

Two guys exit out of the S15 car and tells that they came from Tokyo and they just wanted to stop by at racing scenes. They check out Itsuki's AE85's engine and are surprised to see such a car with its engine. They then ask if they've ever raced on a circuit. When Iketani says there are no circuits nearby, they respond by saying Gunma doesn't have any pros, and boast about racing on a circuit being better than on the hills. Iketani then responds by saying just because they passed a low performance car on a straight in uphill doesn't mean anything and they're not gonna listen anymore to these 'tourists'. Frustrated, the two guys get in the car and drive past, only to stop near the starting point of the downhill. Realizing they are waiting for a downhill battle, Iketani and Kenji decides to battle them, but before they do, Iketani looks at Takumi. Takumi wasn't in a mood to race and he didn't have his Eight-Six with him either. Kenji states letting a Project D driver to involve in such battles is too easy for them. However Iketani still requests Takumi to be his 'insurance', that is to stay behind them and finish the battle, just in case if he loses.

During the Battle[]

S15 enters battle

The S15 chases Iketani's S13

The two guys wait for them to start out on the race, with the driver stating he wants revenge on them and will show them how circuit racers deals. Then Iketani starts out first, his S13 passing the parked S15. Seeing this, they start out too and begin their chase on the S15. Kenji sees the S15 following behind them and informs Iketani, who was feeling rushed battle as he hadn't raced in a while.

S13 vs S15

Iketani and the Two guys in the S15 enters the first corner

The two guys in the S15 notes in the first corner that the S13's corner entry is pretty good, as expected from a local, but he states that beating him will still be easy as he's got confidence in his circuit racing techniques.

Meanwhile Takumi in Itsuki's Eight-Five follows them, with Itsuki asking if what the fat guy from the S15 said about his AE85 being hard to drive was true. Takumi responds to it by stating while it could feel weird to drive any car at first, once you get used to it you can drive the way which suits to the car. As Takumi enters the corners at incredible speeds with the Eight-Five, Itsuki feels like this is a totally different car itself. Takumi then states he doesn't think Iketani won't last that long. Even though he maybe good in corner entry thanks to his course knowledge, the S15 has better traction and stability while exiting corners, and it comes down to who has the better car. Itsuki hearing all this in awe asks if he really is Takumi Fujiwara himself, as he never knew all this information about cars earlier. Takumi states its mostly because of the time he spent with Project D and their races he can predict what's gonna happen next.

S15 overtakes S13

The S15 overtakes Iketani's S13

Just as Itsuki is noting on how Takumi is seemingly exceeding the limits of his car, Takumi suddenly says that Iketani will be passed soon by the S15 on the straightaway after the corner. As Iketani struggles to keep his lead, the S13 passes him the side, dusting him off. Iketani expresses his displeasure as the S15 driver mocks him off.

As the S15 approaches a corner, the driver says they can't keep up with him as he applies his circuit braking techniques he learnt, which was to apply full braking before entering the corner at maximum speed. As he was boasting about his skills, he suddenly notices the pair of headlights behind him, thinking the S13 he just shook off was still behind him. Little did they know that it wasn't an S13 which was tailing them, but the AE85 they just mocked at the top. Iketani who was struggling to keep with the Eight-Five chasing the S15 remarks on how fast Takumi had become thanks to Project D. As they reach a straightaway, the S15 pulls ahead, almost losing the Eight-Five, but as the corner approached he braked hard, and the Eight-Five catches up with him within a matter of seconds. He remains in shock as all the braking skills he honed from circuits now being defeated by some touge racers.

Ultra superlative braking

The two guys shows off their ultimate braking technique while the Eight-Five passes them

Suddenly the guy next to him tries to convey to him that the car chasing them wasn't an S13, but the driver doesn't want to hear anything as he wants to concentrate for the upcoming corner. The passenger realizes he's gonna 'do that' thing, which he responds to a yes. As they were approaching the corner fast, he begins his concentration to 100%, waiting up until the very last moment. As the S15 approached towards the very end of the corner, the driver suddenly applies brakes as he shouts his ultimate move - "Transcendent Ultra Superlative Braking!". However to their shock the Eight-Five passes them with ease as it uses the gutter technique on the corner and dusts them off.

After the Battle[]

Two guys from Tokyo S15 rear

The S15 crashes towards the bank of the corner

Both the guys in the S15 seem to be at a complete state of disbelief and shock and at awe at what just happened, then only coming to realize they are crashing at the bank of the road.

Later the next day at the gas station, Itsuki tells Iketani that the S15 took a turn for the hot springs, to which Iketani responds that having Takumi as an insurance really did pay off.
