The Myogi NightKids (妙義ナイトキッズ Myōgi Naitokizzu) is a racing team composed of highly skilled drivers, led by Takeshi Nakazato. Even though the team is united under Takeshi, there seem to be two factions fighting for leadership aligned with Takeshi and the team's number two driver, Shingo Shoji. Their home course is Myogi, in Gunma. Shingo and Takeshi both exhibit aggressive driving styles, hence why their races with Akina's Eight-Six both ended in a crash. When it matters most, the team comes together under the #1 and #2 drivers, their uphill and downhill aces respectively. The partial team roster is listed below.
Takeshi runs both the uphill and the downhill, while Shingo almost exclusively runs the downhill, except for a scene in the end of Second Stage where Shingo is shown driving alongside Takeshi on an uphill.
Tanaka is a character from Initial D Drama CD - 'Black Lightning', who is asked by Takeshi to loan his S13 in order to prove to Shingo that he can race in cars other than his R32.
In the Manga and Legend 3, after the battle of Takumi and Nakazato (Takumi vs Shingo in Legend 3) some members of the NightKids drives to Mount Akina and when they see Takumi and Itsuki with his AE85, they mock at them for owning such a car. Takumi avenges Itsuki by chasing them down with his AE85 and overtaking them, leaving the members utterly confused and shocked. In First Stage they were replaced with members of Thunder Fire.
