New Initial D The Movie Legend 2 Racer Sound Collection (新劇場版 頭文字[イニシャル]D Legend2 -闘走- Sound Collection, Shingekijouban Initial D Legend 2 ‐Tousou‐ SOUND COLLECTION) is the fifty-fifth soundtrack album for the Initial D series and serves as the official soundtrack for Initial D Legend 2: Racer. Released on May 20, 2015, by Avex Pictures, the album consists of the J-Rock insert songs used in the film, including the ending theme "Resurrection" by BACK-ON. The remainder of the album consists of the original score composed by Akio Dobashi.
The album peaked at number one hundred eighty-nine on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart and remained on the charts for one week.[1]
