The Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II (BNR32) is part of the third generation of the Nissan Skyline GT-R, the first generation of its revival, based on the eighth generation of the base Skyline model. It is often known as the Skyline GT-R, the GTR, or the R32, it was also nicknamed "Godzilla".

The Nissan Skyline GT-R is a series of sports cars based on the Nissan Skyline. The BNR32 is based on the eighth generation of the Nissan Skyline.
The V-Spec (Victory Specification) I and II were introduced after the GT-R's success in Group N and Group A racing. The V-Spec models included the lightweight bonnet and front bumper from Nismo models, as well as changing the wheels from 16" to 17" BBS wheels. The V-Spec II was introduced in 1994 and ran for ten months, before the R32 stopped production in late 1994.

- Eikichi Shimamura owns a White Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II R32, which he uses as leader of the Hakone Thunder Soldiers.
- The Hakone Thunder Soldiers exclusively uses R32s.
- A member of Racing Team Katagiri Street Version drives a white R32.
- Rin Hojo owns a Gun Gray Metallic Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II R32, which he uses as Kanagawa's Grim Reaper.
- Kozo Hoshino owned two GT-R R32s before he bought his R34 Nür.
- In the 2005 Live-Action film, various Myogi NightKids members drive R32s.
- In Act 21 of First Stage, during the conversation on the phone between Bunta Fujiwara and Keiichi Tsuchiya, some R32 racing Skylines appear, including a FALKEN ALTIA R32 N1 that participated in the Super Taikyu championship (then the N1 Endurance) in 1992.
- A modified white R32 with a GT wing can be seen battling with Impact Blue's Nissan SilEighty in the intro of Extra Stage.
- Plenty of R32s can be seen in Initial D Third Stage.
- A White R32 can be seen at Project D garage in Act 4 of Fifth Stage.
- A white R32 can be seen running in the Fuji Speedway in a flashback scene in Act 14 of Fifth Stage.

Cars can be upgraded with different parts, both internal and external, to make the car perform better. The early games offer the player a choice between several courses of upgrades that they would like their car to have, whereas later games give a wider range of options, with players being able to pick what upgrades they want whenever they want them.
