The Northern Saitama Alliance (埼玉北西エリア連合チーム, Saitama Hokusei Eria Rengō Chīmu, lit. "Saitama Northwest Area Union Team") is a racing group made of teams located in the Saitama Prefecture. Included in this alliance is the team that Nobuhiko Akiyama and Kyoko Iwase are on, which remains unnamed, as well as Wataru Akiyama. They joined together to meet the challenge they knew would be coming from Project D. Nobuhiko is the leader of the Alliance.
The Alliance faces Project D twice, on two different courses, Sadamine and Maze Pass. The Alliance throws the first downhill race against Project D so that Nobuhiko can gather enough information on Takumi Fujiwara to defeat him during the second set of races. Nobuhiko recruits Sakamoto for the job of defeating Takumi and all of the Alliance members (except Kyoko) chip in to purchase a Suzuki Cappuccino for Sakamoto to use in the race. There are also 2 other members named Saito and Yokota which is a side character as prominent figure.
