Sentimental White (センチメンタルホワイト, Senchimentaruhowaito) is an extra chapter of Initial D. It follows Mako Sato as she meets Miyahara, and the two attempt to start a relationship. It was adapted into the first half of Act 2 of Initial D Extra Stage.

Plot[]

On a mountain pass, Mako and Sayuki shock a couple by passing them at speed.

The two go snowboarding at a nearby ski resort. Sayuki is unable to get the hang of it, and is envious that Mako is able to do it perfectly, despite the two having started at the same time.

On their way to a café, they run into Shingo Shoji and his friend Miyahara. Sayuki tells the group about how her and Shingo grew up together, much to Shingo's embarrassment. Sayuki encourages Mako to go snowboard alongside Miyahara, hiding that her and Shingo are trying to set the two of them up. Sayuki asks Shingo if he's going to buy an S2000, but he tells her that he's broke.

On the slopes, Miyahara is amazed by Mako's skill on a snowboard, and is shocked to hear she's only been doing it for a year.

At a nearby hot spring, Sayuki asks Mako what she thinks about Miyahara. Mako tells her that he was nice to talk to, which Sayuki is happy to hear. She tells Mako about something she'd heard, that Ryosuke Takahashi is starting an expedition team with Takumi Fujiwara to tour outside of Gunma. Mako is surprised at the news, and it gets her wanting to race. The two decide to practice on the mountain pass they had driven in on.

The two drive on the pass. Mako is annoyed by the lack of grip on the tires, and notes that the course is nothing but low speed corners.

Later, in Karuizawa, Sayuki receives a call from Shingo telling her that Mako and Miyahara have continued seeing each other quite frequently.

At a café, Miyahara asks Mako to date him.
