Shingo Shoji's Honda Civic SiR-II (EG6), also known simply as the Civic, the SiR-II or the EG6, is the signature car of Myogi NightKids member Shingo Shoji. It is the first Honda Civic encountered in the series.

History[]

After Myogi NightKids leader Takeshi Nakazato was defeated by Takumi Fujiwara on Akina's downhill, Shingo Shoji, the best downhill driver on the NightKids, decides that he will battle against Akina's Eight-Six to prove himself as a better driver than Takeshi.

During a downhill run, Shingo ambushes Koichiro Iketani, bumping him and causing him to spin out. Iketani recovers and follows Shingo down the hill, before he disappears from view.

Exclusively in First Stage, Shingo also ambushes Itsuki Takeuchi when he is travelling home from his date. Because of this battle, Itsuki crashes, leaving him injured.

The night after his impromptu battle with Iketani, Shingo appears on Akina again, running into Takumi and the Akina SpeedStars. Shingo challenges Takumi to a duct tape deathmatch, a battle where the two drivers tape their right hand to the wheel, limiting how much they can turn. Takumi starts the race in the lead, quickly figuring out how to turn effectively. Becoming annoyed with how well Takumi is performing with no prior experience, Shingo resorts to tapping the Eight-Six's bumper, causing it to spin out, and allowing him to pass. Takumi becomes enraged due to Shingo's dirty tactics and catches up to him. Takumi overtakes in a corner, shocking Shingo. In the following straightaway, Shingo decides to try end the race in a crash, however Takumi dodges, causing Shingo to collide with the guardrail.

Afterwards, Shingo is seen using his Civic at Akina to spectate Takumi's battle against Ryosuke, Usui Pass with Nakazato to visit Impact Blue, and finally at Tsubaki Line in Kanagawa to spectate Project D's final battles.
