Smiley Sakai's Honda Integra Type R (DC2), known simply as the Integra or as the Integra Type R, is the signature vehicle of Todo School student Smiley Sakai.
History[]
When the Todo School is challenged by Project D to a pair of battles on the Enna Skyline, Smiley Sakai is chosen to represent the school for the uphill. Sakai is put up against Keisuke Takahashi, Project D's Uphill ace. Sakai starts in the lead, with Keisuke following behind. Despite Sakai's amazing skill and course knowledge, Keisuke manages to keep up through much of the course. During a corner, Sakai performs a brake feint, causing Keisuke to let off the gas, loosing boost pressure, and fall behind. Keisuke follows Sakai into a corner at high speeds, causing him to almost spin out, however he manages to pull out of it, much to Sakai's shock. Keisuke begins slowly closing the gap between the two cars, culminating in an attack during the fourth hairpin. The two cars come alongside each other as they leave a corner, with Keisuke managing to pull ahead, winning the battle.
Specs[]
The car is a Honda Integra Type R, chassis code DC2. It is painted in Championship White[2]. In some early Fujimi model kits it is painted in Sunlight Yellow[1].
Engine[]
The Integra is fitted with a B18C engine, with the addition of a turbocharger[3]. The output of this engine is unknown[4], but a stock engine (without a turbocharger) makes 200PS.
