The Subaru Impreza WRX STi (GDBF) is part of the second generation of the Subaru Impreza. It is often known simply as the Impreza, the Imp or the Hawkeye.

The Subaru Impreza is a compact car that has been manufactured by Subaru since 1992. A version of the Impreza known as the WRX (standing for World Rally eXperimental) was also introduced in 1992. STi (Subaru Tecnica International) variants were introduced in 1994, offering improved performance, and were popular with street racers and rally drivers. The second generation of the Impreza was introduced in 2000. The GDBF was released in 2005. This version of the Impreza is often known as the Hawkeye, due to the shape of its headlights.
