The rematch between Takeshi Nakazato and Eikichi Shimamura is a drama CD exclusive battle, it is featured in Black Lightning - New Undefeated Legend.
Prior to Battle[]
Takeshi Nakazato races Eikichi Shimamura, Nakazato was annoyed by Shimamura's ability to stay ahead of him, as his technique was better and Shimamura's GT-R wasn't drifting, Takeshi managed to overtake the GT-R, however, he drifted into the guard rail, causing him to crash and lose the race. He would later sell his S13 and buy an R32 of his own.
Shingo Shoji, Takeshi Nakazato, Mako Sato, and Sayuki all go up to Hakone so Nakazato can challenge Shimamura to a rematch.
During the Battle[]
The race starts and Shimamura takes the lead in the first corner. Nakazato saves his tires in flashback of how he lost to the AE86. Shimamura does the opposite, using all of his tires' full potential, thus he starts understeering. Nakazato, saving his tires, notices that, and passes Shimamura.
After the Battle[]
Nakazato won the battle so he doesn't have to sell his car. He gets revenge against Shimamura for beating him before on Takeshi's home course Myogi Pass. The Thunder Soldier team expresses their disappointment in Shimamura and Shingo, Sayuki and Mako insult the team.
