Takumi Fujiwara's impromptu battle in Tsukamoto's 180SX is the seventeenth battle of Initial D. This is a manga exclusive battle.
Prior to the Battle[]
Takumi and Natsuki meet their senior, Tsukamoto, who invites the couple to drive with him to Akagi to see some street racers. At the top of Akagi, Natsuki feels sick because of Tsukamoto's bad driving. She gets dizzy and accidentally rubs against a car. The owner and his girlfriend gets angry at Natsuki and scolds her.
During the Battle[]
After letting Takumi know of the incident, they convince Tsukamoto to let Takumi drive his 180SX to get revenge against the couple who scolded Natsuki. Takumi slowly drives down the mountain and when the couple passes he gives chase. The race is then quickly ended with an easy overtake.
After the Battle[]
Natsuki feels an adrenaline rush and she did not get sick by Takumi's driving. Tsukamoto on the other hand was so scared that he thought he was dreaming and passed out.
