"The Race Is Over" is a song produced and performed by Italian musician Giancarlo Pasquini, under his stage name Dave Rodgers. It is the second ending theme for Initial D Third Stage used in the credits and was also featured in commercials and trailers for the film. The song was originally released on January 17, 2001, as part of the film’s soundtrack album Initial D The Movie of Super Eurobeat, and was later released as a maxi-single in October 2003, alongside three other tracks by Rodgers.
The song was also used as the ending theme for the arcade games Initial D Arcade Stage, Initial D Arcade Stage Ver. 2, and its PlayStation 2 port, Initial D Special Stage.
