The Toyota 86 GT (ZN6) is a 2+2 sports car developed by Toyota and Subaru.
Information[]
The Toyota 86 is a sports car produced by Toyota since 2012. The 86 GT is one of four models that were offered at the 86s launch. The Toyota 86 GT gets its name from two classic Toyota Cars, the Toyota 2000GT and the Toyota AE86, both of which were FR layout.
Notable Users[]
- In Final Stage - Act 4, Takumi is passed by an orange 86 GT while delivering tofu to Akina in the Impreza. The car's number plate reads "86-239", which when written phonetically reads "hachiroku ni sankyu", or "Thank you, Eight-Six".
- In Legend 3, a Toyota 86 GT is seen twice. This 86's number plate reads "3-954", a reference to Takumi's main series plate: "13-954".
- In Arcade Stage Zero, an 86 GT can be challenged after completing the Prologue chapter. It is not required to beat them.
- Despite having a different license plate (2-210), this could be the same 86 seen in Legends 3 considering this installment ties in with the Legend movie trilogy.
- In Chinese Toyota GR 86 ad, Shinji Inui is seen having a short impromptu battle with Takumi in the same 86 GT.
- In MF Ghost the protagonist of the series, Kanata Rivington races in a red 86 GT. Kanata's 86 is featured in Arcade Stage Zero and Initial D The Arcade.

Arcade Stage Tuning[]
Cars can be upgraded with different parts, both internal and external, to make the car perform better. The early games offer the player a choice between several courses of upgrades that they would like their car to have, whereas later games give a wider range of options, with players being able to pick what upgrades they want whenever they want them.
