The Wastegate Girl is a character who appears in the Extra Chapter Wastegate. She is a manga exclusive character and her name is not revealed.
History[]
Keisuke Takahashi was training at Akagi at early morning times for the Project D expeditions when suddenly he encounters a girl standing in the middle of the road. He was able to brake to halt to not hit her and when he stopped to shout at her for standing in the middle of the road especially after a corner, she says that she needs to reach the nearest gas station after being left out and requests Keisuke to drop her downhill. However Keisuke initially rejects her request, saying he was going uphill instead. At the end after listening to her plead to him, he had no choice but to take her along with him uphill. Keisuke had no intention on chatting with her as he just wanted to concentrate on his training. However the girl enjoyed Keisuke sliding with his car uphill like a rollercoaster. On reaching the top, Keisuke tries calling Kenta on helping him to drop the girl, but Kenta was revealed to have a high fever, and with no cars on the road at that time, he was stuck with her. The girl exits Keisuke's FD and realizes he's a 'handsome' guy.
By that time, a Toyota Altezza arrives at the top, with two guys in the car recognizing the girl and asking her to come with them. Keisuke seeing them asks if they knew the girl. The one of the duo in the Altezza, who didn't recognize the former due to the lack of light started to argue with Keisuke when suddenly the other guy in the car realizes out of shock that it was Keisuke they were arguing with. This drives both of them in panic which led them to immediately escape in their car. Keisuke realizing his only chance of getting the girl down was going away, decides to chase them in his FD with the girl. Upon realizing Keisuke was chasing them, the Altezza duo became even more panicked, leading them to crash off road at the entrance of a corner. Keisuke on entering the corner later on, misses them and drives past, thinking if he had been smoked by two dudes in a sedan.
On reaching the bottom, he drops the girl at the railway station. The girl looks gives him a smug look, waiting for him to ask her mobile number. Upon realizing Keisuke won't ask her for himself, she then gives him a slip of paper with her number, asking him to call her. Keisuke, apparently unfazed by it, drives off without even taking the paper, leaving her surprised.
